Preferences on your device
This site saves your chosen atmosphere, motion setting, and surprise preferences in your browser’s local storage. It also remembers whether you have seen a saucer visit and the day of the latest automatic visit. These settings stay in your browser and are not sent to me. You can remove them by clearing this site’s browser data.
Visiting the site
The site does not include advertising trackers or a visitor analytics script. The hosting provider receives ordinary web-request information, such as your IP address and browser information, to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for information about its processing.
Contact and social links
When you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you provide are processed by Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention and stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. A notification containing those details is also sent to a private Discord channel so Blake knows that a message arrived. Discord is a notification channel; the D1 record is the durable copy. This information is used only to read and respond to your message. Do not submit sensitive information through the form.
Social links take you to external services. Their own privacy policies apply there; this site uses ordinary links rather than embedded social feeds. You can reach me through the profiles on the Social page.
Comments
Blog discussions are provided by EchoThread. When comments are enabled, its widget loads from EchoThread and information you submit is handled under EchoThread’s privacy policy. Comments are associated with the specific post rather than stored in this site’s Git repository.
Media in posts
Some posts may include media hosted by other services. Loading or playing embedded media can send ordinary request information to those providers. YouTube embeds use its privacy-enhanced domain. Those services apply their own privacy policies.
